The Embassy will return with Season Two premiering at 8.30pm Wednesday 3 February, Channel 9 (Australia).
The eight episode series covers a range of travel stories from lost passports, insurance fraud, immigration issues, hospitalisations and prisoner welfare matters. Series Two also includes our work during the Nepal Earthquake crisis with the evacuation of 200 Australians to Bangkok.
Series One attracted almost one million viewers per episode and won the highly coveted ‘Critics’ Choice Award’ for 2014. Importantly, the series has improved the public’s understanding of the Department’s consular role and shown the commitment and professionalism of our A-based and locally engaged staff.
The Department hopes that Series Two will continue to raise awareness among travellers of overseas travel risks and the need to take personal responsibility for their actions.
